On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Duhok Polytechnic University launched the first day of the 7th Iraqi-German Workshop on Nanophotonics, with the participation of five German scholars and thirty speakers from universities across the governorates of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, in addition to a number of students, lecturers, and researchers.

From the University of Zakho, Dr. Pashtiwan Mohammed Ameen Karim, Director of the General Registry, Dr. Chia Saleh Ajaj, Head of the Bologna Process Implementation Unit, and Dr. Nozad Abdullah Abdulkarim took part in the event. Dr. Abdulkarim delivered a joint seminar as part of the workshop’s scientific program.

The workshop extended over two days, running continuously from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
